East Anaheim Street

East Anaheim Street is a major Long Beach thoroughfare running from Junipero to Pacific Coast Highway. It boasts an active Business Improvement District and a variety of arts, entertainment, food and services.

The East Anahim Street Business Alliance (EASBA), founded in 1991, advocates on behalf the district.

Don't miss the iconic Long Beach Playhouse on Anaheim near Pacific Coast Highway. It was founded over 80 years ago and includes two stages and an art gallery curated by Michael Stearns.

At BuyArt Studios you'll find another wonderful source of local and regional art, exhibitions and custom framing services.

If you're in the mood for a round of golf, don't miss Recreation Park 18-hole golf course. Blair Field is a great place to catch a ball game.

Parents can bring their kids and toddlers to Brewitt Neighborhood Library for a variety of events ranging from storybook readings to film screenings.

At the corner of Anaheim Street and Temple you'll find Joe Jost's, a great source for ice-cold beer and sandwiches. Joe Jost's is family operated and operated, founded in 1924 and one of the oldest continually operated taverns west of the Mississippi.

From there, travel east on Anaheim one block to Alex's Bar, a popular live music hotspot with velvet paintings, a photo booth and a busy nightlife scene. Iguana Kelly's and Liquid Lounge offer two more nightlife locations. For a complete pub crawl, end your East Anaheim tour at Di Piazza Restaurant & Lounge off Pacific Coast Highway and Anaheim.
