Bixby Knolls is a Friendly Place

Bixby Knolls is a mid-century modern business corridor on Atlantic Avenue just north of the 405 Freeway. The neighborhood has sprung to life recently thanks to extremely active leadership from the Bixby Knolls Business Improvement Association (BKBIA).
The BKBIA has created many staple area events including the Bixby Knolls Literary Society, Bixby Knolls Supper Club and mother-of-them-all, the monthly First Fridays.
First Fridays are the best time to check out the area's arts and culture which resonate off the walls at Nino's Italian eatery and the EXPO Building, an arts space operated by several arts groups and gallery owners.
The Mirage Coffeehouse is home to acoustic musical performances and the Historical Society of Long Beach is not far away with great rotating exhibits.
Elise's Tea Room is a true Long Beach gem - a traditional tea house with finger sandwiches and sometimes home to re-enactments and other fun events.
The Factory has already become a neighborhood favorite. It's Long Beach's first gastro-pub, and it features locally grown food and a fantastic selection of wine and microbrews.
After all this eating, you should probably get some exercise and Free Spirit Yoga is a great place to get centered.
