PIEAM Group Tours

Event Description

The Pacific Island Ethnic Art Musem (PIEAM) presents an exciting opportunity for all tour participants to have hands-on time with our demonstration box following each tour.

Dress up, wear a Tapwanu mask, handle a canoe bailer, smell coconut oil, plus a lot more. All kids under 12 (always attend FREE) will also be given a coloring sheet to take home.

These tours are free with your museum admission or become a member and museum admission is free too! Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors.

If you have large groups attending we do ask for 48 hours advance notice to ensure we are properly staffed to offer the same high quality tour to all.

Weekend group tours are offered starting at 2pm.  Discover more about the traditional and living arts of the Pacific Islands.  If you are unable to make it at these times, please contact the museum to schedule a tour.

People always ask when is the best time to visit PIEAM and the answer would be for these tours! These are an intimate experience with one of our highly trained docents to learn, touch, hear, see, smell and ask all the questions you have about the Pacific Islands.

Due to the care of the artifacts, at most museums you are unable to touch the pieces.  Our demonstration box includes a collection of pieces from the islands that we invite you to touch to have a multi-sensory experience of the arts from the Pacific Islands.  At PIEAM we believe the Pacific Islands’ arts are all encompassing.
