First Fridays Long Beach
First Fridays celebrates its 5th anniversary with a rich pageant of art, music, shopping, and dining. Bixby Knolls will be one big celebration for the five-year milestone and ringing in the holiday season.
Ingredients for November include: Something Creative mobile art stations, jazz, bike portraits, glass blowers, belly dancers, henna, scavenger hunt, cake, photography, bikes, student musicians, DJs, jazz, swing, crooners & swooners, Timstrument, crafts, community drawing, face painting, First Books, piano man, Bixby Belle, and the Big Red Bus.
Ride your bike to First Fridays and use the bike valet station at The Workshop, 4242 Atlantic. Stop inside for your free bike maintenance. You can also bring your bike to the Expo Arts Center , 4321 Atlantic, to get a free bike portrait.
Councilmember James Johnson hosts "First Books at First Fridays" at the Dana Branch Library at 5:30pm. Special guest readers: Long Beach Fire Chief Alan Patalano and Assistant Chief of Fire Operations Mike Duree.

When the businesses start to close, "First Fridays After Hours" begins across the district. Nino's Italian Restaurant will host "Friday Night Disco Fever" with music, dancing and late night dining. The Factory and EJ Malloy's also go la te into the night with dinner, drinks, music, and community mingling. Why go home early? Stay out and continue the energy.
Dine on Art-Lantic Avenue at one of our tasty restaurants then grab the Big Red Bus that will transport you venue to venue from designated stops at the participating businesses.
